Q

How did Henry re-establish the role of the nobility?

A

Largely sons of nobility who partnered with Henry in sports and revels. It was they who accompanied Henry to war, e.g, the Earl of Surrey accompanied Henry to Scotland. However, nobles did not achieve the political domination they hoped for because Henry chose to promote the beliefs of Thomas Wolsey who had organised the war in France on his behalf.
