A

Hx: SNAP, SEWB, skin lesions, pre-conception care, FHx
Ex: BMI + waist circ, BP, lipids
Mx:
- CST +/- mammogram + # risk factors
- immunisation (flu, dTpa)
- AUSDRISK
- absolute CVD risk

50-64yo - what health checks should be done?

A

Hx: SNAP, SEWB, skin lesions, FHx
Ex: BMI + waist circ, BP, lipids
Mx:
- FOBT at least every 2y
- CST at least every 5y
- Mammogram at least every 2y
- immunisation (flu, dTpa) + pneumococcal if ATSI (13vPCV, 23vPVV 12m later then again at least 5y later)
- # risk factors if female
- AUSDRISK
- absolute CVD risk

  1. Flu - annually (funded from 65yo if non-Indigenous)
  2. Pneumococcal - single dose 13vPCV if non-Indigenous >70yo
  3. Herpes zoster - single dose (Zostavax funded if 70-79yo)

Case find for risk factors every 6m if increased risk (PHx fall, recurrent falls or multiple risk factors)

Case finding + early intervention if increased risk
- Sx
- Older age
- FHx
- PHx repeated head trauma, Down syndrome, elevated CVD risk, depression
- Low levels of education
- ATSI
No evidence of screening benefit in average risk (those without Sx)
