Q

Contaminated ramp pushback considerations?

A

On a contaminated ramp, PIC will not permit pushback without headsets , except when the flight deck to ground audio system is deferred. PIC must establish alternate communication procedures

Q

Taxiing on Engine 1 and 2 single engine taxi hydraulic considerations.

A

If on engine 1, ACMP 2 will come on with the parking break released.

If on engine 2, Hydraulic Electrical Pump must REMAIN ON

Note: ACMP 1 does not automatically turn on in the event of a single engine taxi on engine 2.

Q

Starting Engine what are we looking for?

A

Start Timer 10s positive oil pressure 7% N2 IGN A on EICAS 20% N2 fuel flow Light off within 30 seconds after fuel flow N1 Rotation prior to start cutout (50% N2) 50 N2% verify IGN A (B) goes out Engine Stabilization: ITT 3) red mark moves down

Q

When do we abort an engine start?

A

1) No positive oil pressure within 10s after N2 increase
2) Oil Pressure below limits
3) No N1 rotation prior to 50% N2
4) N1 and or N2 failing o accelerate to stable idle speed (hung start)
5) No light off within 30 seconds of engine start
6) ITT exceeds 815
7) An intermittent electrical pneumatic or start malfunction before starter disengagement

15
Q

Starting the engines with no AC source (Battery Start)? Hydraulic considerations?

A

QRJ…Start the right engines first and have hydraulics off because hydraulics turns the EPBIT off.

16
Q

What is the process should you encounter an engine start malfunction?

A

Affected engine start/stop selector switch to OFF

17
Q

How do I cross-bleed start an engine?

A

Announce starting engine, ensure area is clear, advance thrust levers and verify 40-45 of duct pressure PSI, start desired engine and watch indications and set timer, set idle verify N1 target and call out Normal Start

18
Q

What is a consideration during the Xbleed engine start?

A

If thrust is advanced to far forward the FADEC will swap from the 10th stage bleed HP to the 6th stage LP bleed which could result in a hot start

19
Q

Taxi speed limits?

A

Straight Dry - 30knots Straight Wet/Contaminated - 10knots Turns Dry -10 knots Turns Wet/Contaminated - 5knots

20
Q

Thrust limit while taxiing?

A

40% N1

21
Q

When does EICAS declutter automatically? Is there a manual way?

A

30 seconds after gear up, flap up, APU off, spoilers stowed, fan vibration normal, and engine oil normal Yes, EICAS FULL button
