A

Belbin: this model proposes that individuals have certain preferred roles when working in a team and effective teams have a balance of different rules. Belbin identified 9 different team roles.

Margersion-McCann
This model is similar to Belbin model, but identifies for key areas of team behaviour: thinking, organising, communicating and adopting.
-The model proposes that affect teams have a balance of these behaviours

Myers-Biggs type indicator
This model focuses on personalities and proposes that people of different preferences perceive the world and meet decisions. The MBTI identifies 16 personality types based on four key dimensions.
-Extraversion/introversion, sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling and judging/perceiving.

Hackman’s model of team effectiveness:
-this model proposes that effective themes of certain characteristics, including clear, goals, adequate resources, appropriate rewards, and a supportive organisational context.

Tuckmans stage of group development: this model proposes that teams go through several stages of development, including forming, storming, norming, preforming and adjourning.

Katzenbach and smiths model of high preforming teams: this model identifies five key characteristics of high performing teams: a common purpose, specific performancegoals, complimentary skills, mutual accountability, and a strong commitment to the team.

McGregors theory X and theory Y suggest that leaders assumptions about the employees motivation behaviour can influence how they lead and manage them.

Theory X assumes that employees are inherently lazy, need constant supervision. while theory Y assumes employees are self-motivated and want to take responsible for the work.
A leader who adopts a theory Y approach can enpower the team members and delegate responsibilities and provide options for growth
