Divided Circle

A

Draw a vertical and a horizontal guideline
- Make the guidelines “sticky”, Use “snap To” guidelines
- Draw a 90°-pie of a circle. Duplicate it 3 times
- rotate each of the duplicates as required
- Fill two copies pink and two yellow
- Arrange the 4 objects around the intersection of the guidelines: same colour in opposite corners

Rounded rectangles

A

Create 1 horizontal rectangle with rounded corners, thick black outline and no fill (transparent)
- Duplicate 2 times. Use object-transform-rotate menu to rotate 1 duplicate 60 degrees to the left
and the other to the right.

Happy Grad

A

Draw circle. Make outline (stroke style) to be very thin. Set outline color to black (shift click) and fill
grey.
- Draw a small black ellipse for the eye. Duplicate it and drag horizontally (use arrow keys or press ctrl)
to the other side.
- select both circles, group them and align center on vertical axis with the large circle (Align & Distribute
menu)
- Mouth: Draw e a large ellipse with heavy outline (stroke) and no fill, drag the handles to turn it into an
arc for the mouth.
- Grad Hat: To create a black parallelogram: draw a black rectangle, double-click on the rectangle and
use the skew handles (check status bar).
- Hat Tassel: Draw 2 straight lines using freehand tool and place as shown.

Triangles

A

Draw an equilateral triangle with white fill and thick black stroke (press ctrl).
- Duplicate and resize proportionally while keeping the same center. (ctrl+shift while resizing)
- Repeat previous step 3 more times.
- Set option not to resize stroke (outline) on the Preferences menu
