Q

what is the structure of DNA double helix?

A

it is the smallest structure of DNA, consisting of 10 base pairs every turn. they consist of major and minor grooves and have sugar phosphate backbones, bonded with nitrogenous bases via phosphodiester bonds. each molecule is double-stranded and consists of polynucleotide chains wound around each other. the strands are anti-parallel and nitrogenous bases are linked together via hydrogen bonds
