Before humans gained a greater knowledge of science, humans needed ways to explain the existence of humans and the natural world, to teach lessons.

Why do we continue to study mythology today?
A
Mythology and belief in “gods” or pagan beliefs are now expressed through many tales of fantasy and stories. These Tales/Stories can be used to teach us about the past and present world in which we live. Even today many terms in mythology characters have been derived and may seem plausible explanations.
