What is a CDAOs?

A

proper and suitable experienced person appointed/nominated by a designated body to ensure the safe, appropriate and effective management and use of CDs within organisations

  • oversees the monitoring/auditing of the management, prescribing and use of CDs
  • maintain a record of concerns/incidents regarding individuals and having incident panels if necessary
  • sharing info regarding CDs (concerns & incidents)
  • attend CD Local Intelligence Network meetings
  • appointment of authorised witnesses for the destruction of CDs
