Q

What is the meaning of the amber AUTO BRAKE DISARM light?

A

This can mean a number of things:
1. The SPEED BRAKE lever moved to down detent during RTO or landing.

  1. manual brakes applied during RTO or landing
  2. Thrust levers advanced during RTO or landing (Except during the first 3 seconds after touchdown or landing)
  3. Landing made with RTO selected
  4. RTO selected on ground (illuminates for two seconds and then extinguishes)
  5. a malfunction exists in the braking system.

Q

Which system pressurizes the brake accumumlator?

A

System B. If Both A and B systems are lost there is still enough pressure left in the accumulator for several applications but Auto brakes are not available.

Q

Which system does the parking brake use?

A

Either system A or B. If neither A or B are available the accumulator will provide pressure to the parking brake. However, the accumulator will only provide one application of parking brakes.
