Toxin - Overdose Sx - Treatment
Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
-Symptoms: hepatic necrosis, RUQ pain, jaundice, coagulation abnormalities
-Treatment: N-acetylcysteine or activated charcoal
Salicylates (aspirin, Pepto Bismol, Ben Gay)
-Symptoms: Respiratory alkalosis, fever, seizures, coma, renal failure, pulmonary edema
-Treatment: ABC’s, glucose for CNS symptoms, IVF
