When Can You Go Below Minimums On An Instrument Approach?

A
  1. If you’re able to make a descent to landing on the intended runway using normal maneuvers and a normal descent rate.
  2. If the flight visibility (that you observe) meets or exceeds the minimums published for the approach.
  3. If you’re able to identify one of the approved visual references for the runway (often called the “runway environment”)
