A

A

A

-voltage-gated K+ channels open and K+ leaves the cell

Why does hyper-polarization occur?

A

driving the cell’s resting potential lower than normal makes it less likely another action potential will occur right after the first one

A

-larger axon diameter
-increased myelination

A
