A
-A syringe is used to deliver the formula into the stomach by gravity
-raising or lowering the syringe regulates flow
-delivered more rapidly than intermittent feeding
-keep HOB elevated 30 degrees for at least 1 hr
-flush with 30mL of sterile water
-decrease tube if pt experiences cramping, ease once it is flowing
