Symptoms and signs of cholesteatoma

A

10-20yo

98% ear discharge OR conductive hearing loss
Foul smelling white discharge
Headache, pain
CN Involvement (vertigo, deafness, facial paralysis)

suspected in any patient with unexplained unilateral ear discharge, not responsive to ABx

A

Otoscopy: pearly white + surrounding inflammation)
CT (if unsure diagnosis)
