A

-modern day life don’t need highly energetic responses - cause problems if constantly activated

-Taylor - females tend to display this response
-nurturing behaviours to protect
-befriend - protective alliances with other mothers
-women developed stress systems due to gender role

A

-Von Dawans - challenged view that men only respond with F-o-F
-found that acute stress leads to greater cooperation + friendliness
-explains human connections
-social beings have fundamental protective nature to allow us to survive
