Investigate the effect of a range of concentrations of salt or sugar solution on the mass of plant tissue

Step one
A
Use a cork aura to cut five potato cylinders and trim with a scalpel for same length

Measure the length and mass of the potato cylinders

Measure 10 cm³ of the 1.0M sugar solution and place into boiling tube

Repeat step 3 for the other concentrations of the solution and distilled water

Leave the cylinders in the test tubes overnight

Pat cylinders with paper towel until dry
