A

Flight crew license (ATPL,ppl,CPL). For a person to hold this document they must be fit and proper meaning no offences to NZTA and MOJ.

  • compliance history with transport safety regulatory requirements.
  • experience within the transport industry.
  • Knowledge of the applicable civil aviation system regulatory requirements
  • History of physical or mental illness or behavioural problems
  • any conviction for a transport offence in NZ or overseas or the offence was committed before the act
  • any evidence that the person has committed a transport safety offence or has a contravened or failed to comply with any rule in the act

Describe the duties of PIC (36.2.6)

A

PIC shall be responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft in flight, wellbeing of all pax and crew, safety of cargo carried.

They have final authority to control the aircraft while in command for the maintenance of disciple by all POB and responsible for following the act.
