36.32.10 restrictions on carriage and discharge of firearms on aircraft and military c91

A
  • fire arm is stored in an inaccessible place to every person on flight and is disabled
  • aircraft is being used solely for the carriage of the person or group associated with the firearm and the operator permits the carriage and the firearm is disabled
  • aircraft carrying livestock and operates deems it potentially necessary
  • aircraft is being used for purpose of shooting animals on the ground but only if the firearm isn’t located until in the area within which the firearm is intended to be used and the aircraft carries only these persons performing an essential function of the shooting or flying.

DISCHARGE

  • in an aircraft carrying livestock if necessary for immobilisation of an animal
  • from an aircraft for the purpose of shooting or immobilising animals if the discharge has no threat or cause potential injury and is not over any congested area of a city, town or settlement.

Military

  • aircraft is being operated on an air transport or commercial transport operation, the person carrying is lawfully entitled to carry in course of duty, carrying their firearm in course of their duties, has been approved to carry by the director and complies with all restrictions set by director
  • aircraft is being operated safely for carriage of police, law enforcers, military and persons under the care of such officers or personnel
  • aircraft is being operated for police, law and only persons performing an essential function associated with special personnel carried in aircraft.

  • carried on a seat, in a cargo rack or bin or baggage compartment
  • secured by a safety belt or restraining device
  • packaged and. Covered to avoid injury to pax

Operator who permits carriage of cargo in aircraft mustn’t permit cargo to exceed load limitation or be in a position that restricts emergency exits or aisle.

A

Congested area 1000ft AGL radius 600m of any obstacle

Any area at a height of less than 500ft above the surface or at a height of less than 500ft above any obstacle, person etc within a radius of 150m

Any operation at a height less than that required to execute an emergency landing.

doesnt apply to
- aircraft take off and landing
- balked landing or discontinued approach
- taxiing

Or if the purpose of the flight requires it to fly at that height provided no hazard, only persons as an essential function are carried, aircraft isn’t flown lower then required and the 150m rule.

Or instructor doing engine failures or within a LFZ

A

IFR - can’t take off if ice, snow or frost is building up on propeller, windscreen, power plant installation, or to any airspeed, altimeter, ROC or flight attitude instrument system or on wings, stabilisers or control surfaces.

Can’t fly into known icing conditions unless equipped with ice protection equipment.

You can take off in ice or snow if the takeoff is performed in accordance with AFM in conditions.

  • NZ aircraft must be satisfied by director and aircraft complies with applicable aircraft noise standards
  • foreign aircraft, aircraft is certificated or validated by state of registry to comply.

Can’t operate a subsonic turbojet or turbofan powered plane to or from an aerodrome within NZ unless certified to comply with noise standards.

Engine emission

  • must not operate a turbojet or turbofan powered aircraft within NZ unless for NZ registered aircraft save as last time
  • foreign aircraft same as last time
