A
The respiratory system exchanges gases with the atmosphere. Oxygen enters the blood from the atmosphere and carbon dioxide and water leave the blood.

What is the normal breathing rate
A
The normal breathing rate for an adult at rest is from 8 to 16 breaths per minute. For an infant, the normal rate is up to 44 breaths per minute
