A

TORSION

  • needs to be excluded urgently to prevent ischaemia of the testicle.

Management

A

If STI most likely:
- refer to sexual health clinic
- unknown organism
=> ceftriaxone IM + oral doxycyline for 10-14 days

If enteric organism most likely:
- 2 weeks of quinolone
