There is an increasing population —-> congestion —-> pollution (Approximately 50% of air pollution comes from road transport) —> Over 9,000 Londoners are dying early every year as a result of toxic air (eg. carbon monoxide).

Congestion charge zones mean that any motor vehicles passing through the congestion charge zone is charged with a fee (£11.50). TfL reported that the CCZ resulted in a 10% reduction in traffic

the lack of housing in London (London needs to build 66,000 new homes every year to meet its growing need), —-> increasing prices ——> too expensive —-> suburbanisation where there are more available cheaper houses —->This means people live further away from jobs —-> long commutes to work = less productivity
