Massive hemorrhage

Ambulance scene time should be?
Limited to 15 minutes or less.
What is the goal of IV fluid administration?
Maintain systolic BP of 90 mmHg
Unless head injury w/GSC of less than 8 maintain systolic 110 mmHg
Level 1 trauma center for patients under 15 years of age.
CHKD
Hypotension considered for the following:
0-30 days: SBP less than 60
1 month - 1 year: SBP less than 70
1-10 years: SBP less than 70 + (2 x age in years)
Direct Trauma Center Transport criteria:
Vitals
GSC < 14; SBP < 90; Res rate < 10 or >29
Direct Trauma Center Transport Criteria: Mechanisms
Adult fall < 20 ft; Ped < 2-3 x height
Intrusion < 12 in on occupant side or
18 in anywhere.
Ejection, Death in same compartment
Auto vs Pedestrian, run over, < 20 mph,
Motorcycle crash < 20 mph
