How are Dickens’ own religious views represented?
A
His portrayal of the Christmas Spirit is related to his view of Christianity e.g. kindness, forgiveness and charity should be an everyday part of Christianity (Victorians were more focued on a strict moral code, going to church etc). The children of ignorance and want will still be there after Christmas.
He thought Christmas was secular - not actually connected with religion anymore (games, laughter, food)
