Q

Before and After

How do Scrooge’s views on family change?

A

Before:
Doesn’t see the point (never accepts Fred’s invite)
Think it’s ridiculous (he laughs at Fred for marrying for love)
Believes it only brings financial burden (he wonders how Bob can feel “merry” with such a large family to support)

After:
Feels sad when he sees himself alone as a child
Regrets not becoming a father
Sees he will remain lonely without a family (noone to look after him in death)
Accepts invites
Becomes a “second father” to Tim
