When the BATT switch is BATT
closes Batt Relay, energizing the entire system for a min of 10 min
When the BATT switch is OFF
isolates battery and APU power from all buses except Hot Batt Bus
When the BATT switch is EMER
Allos a min of 30 min power to the Hot Batt Bus and 2 Emergency busses
What is on the Hot Batt Bus
- Lights
- Cabin Entrance
- Baggage Compartment
- Tail Cone
- Aux had Pump
- Primary Trim (In Air - Squat Switch)
- Voltmeter
- Fuselage Tank Fill
- Ignition (Start Only)
-Batt disconnect switch - Nosewheel Steering Acc. Dump Valve
With the Batt switch in EMER and the generators in the off position the following will be operational:
Also if BATT switch is off due to overheat and generators are on according to the OM the following will be operational:
- Cockpit floor lights, emergency
lighting, Cabin entrance lighting - N1 and ITT
- Lt/Rt F/W S.Off, Lt/RT Fire Det + Ext
- Stby Att Indicator
- Pilot P/S
- AC Inverter
- Air Data Comp 1
- Pilots Alt, Airspeed, IVSI
- AHRS (No. 2)
- DG 1 / RMI 1
- Nav 1 & Comm 1
- Aux Hyd Pump
- Primary and Secondary Pitch Trim
- Horizontal Trim Advisory
With the Batt switch in EMER and the generators in the off position
Environmental Control Implications:
- Press control fails to MANUAL
- Both PACS fail ON
- PAC bleed fail to HP
- EMER Press fails OFF
With the Batt switch in EMER and the generators in the off position
Anti - Ice Implications:
- Nacelle, wing and W/S A/I fail ON
- Pitot/Static, AOA, wing root, generator inlet heat, Horizontal Stab anti-ice & W/S alcohol is INOP
With the Batt switch in EMER and the generators in the off position
Hydraulic Implications:
-LG will not operate normally
- Nosewheel steering fails ON
- Anti-Skid INOP
-TR INOP
With the Batt switch in EMER and the generators in the off position
Flight Control Implications:
- AP INOP
- EFIS Display INOP
- Aileron boost sys INOP
- Flaps INOP
With the Batt switch in EMER and the generators in the off position
