This covers taking care of a soldier’s overall well-being, including their body, mind, and emotions.
Spiritual Connectedness:
Is the act of exploring, caring for, and maintaining the health of one’s spiritual identity.
Health Outlets:
These are things that soldiers, civilians, and families do for fun and happiness, making them feel good and part of a community.
Healthy Relationship:
Soldiers have healthy relationships when they take care of their connections with others, nurture both casual and close relationships, and get involved in their community.
Safe Housing and Community:
Soldiers, civilians, and families must feel safe healthy and secure in their own homes to thrive; barracks included.
Food Security
When soldiers, civilians, and families have reliable access to sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.
What is sexual harassment?
Conduct that involves unwelcomed sexual advances, request for sexual favors and deliberate or repeated offensive comments or gestures of a sexual nature.
Three categories of sexual harassment:
verbal, non-verbal, and physical contact
Three complaint processing:
anonymous, informal, and formal
Two types of sexual harassment
Quid-pro-quo (this for that) and hostile environment
Five techniques of dealing with sexual harassment:
directive approach
indirect approach
third party intervention
chain of command
filing a formal complaint
What is sexual assault?
Sexual assault is intentional sexual contact characterize by use of force, threats, intimidation, abuse of authority or when the victim does not or cannot consent.
