Company officer duties when securing premises
Secure with padlock as directed by BC
notify dispatcher in return to quarters to enter address on secured premises list
Appropriate journal entries
Keep key on apparatus in secure place selected by OOD
Return to premises when told by dispatcher as soon as practicable
Secure positive id and receipt
Responsible doubt of if of person call pd
Return key to battalion
Criteria for using the battalion padlock to secure a premises if pd not on scene
Commercial occupancy
Very minor fire or emergency
Egress gained through forced entry accomplished with minimal damage
Occupancy can be easily secured with padlock
No other damage to entire perimeter
Nothing abnormal or unusual apparent about premises or contents
