How does breathing occur
When breathing in the diaframe, it pulls downward, and the rib cag shifts forward and outward, which increases the volume and decreases the pressure on the alveoli so air moves into the lungs to equalize the pressure.
Opposite for breathing out
Purpose of respiration
To move oxygen into blood & to get rid of carbon dioxide
