Q

What are the 4 steps to oxidative phosphorylation?

A
  1. NADH + FADH releases their H ions and electrons
  2. electrons produce energy for active transport carrier proteins to move H ions across membrane against grad
  3. H ions diffuse back through channel proteins of ATP synthase that regenerate the ATP from ADP + Pi
  4. more NADH + FADH are always arriving so the excess bond with oxygen to form water
