focused, organized thinking about such things as the logical relationships among ideas, the soundness of evidence, and the differences
between fact and opinion
CRITICAL THINKING
He/she is the person who
is presenting an oral message to a listener.
PUBLIC SPEAKER
It is whatever a speaker communicates to someone else. Your goal in
public speaking is to have your intended message that is actually communicated
MESSAGE
It is the means by which a message is communicated.
CHANNEL
is the person who receives the communicated message from
the speaker.
LISTENER
the sum of a person’s knowledge, experience, goals, values,
and attitudes. No two people can have exactly the same frame of reference
FRAME PREFERENCE
Communication is a two-way process. It is the message, usually nonverbal, sent from a listener to a speaker
FEEDBACK
It is anything that impedes the communication of a message.
INTERFERENCE
this comes from within your audience
INTERNAL INTERFERENCE
these happens outside you audience
EXTERNAL INTERFERENCE
It is the time and place in which speech communication occurs.
SITUATION
the anxiety over the prospect of giving a speech in front of an audience
