A single group of identical white blood cell, they only target a specific antigen.
What is HCG?

What can monoclonal antibodies do?
→ locate cancer cells.
→ combined with anti-cancer drugs
→ trigger immune response.
What are the benefits of using monoclonal antibodies?
→ bind to specific diseased or damaged cells.
→ treat a variety of conditions
→ in comparison to other treatments, have reduced side effects
→ doesn’t effect healthy cells.
What are the disadvantages of monoclonal antibodies?
→ not as successful as originally intended.
→ difficult to produce the right antibodies.
→ expensive.
