rules for rendering kalpana swaram

A
  1. end on the permissible swara immediatly below or the admissible swara immediatly above the main song starting swara
  2. end on short note unless the whole passage consists of long notes
  3. sung to original tune of song
  4. only when jantai swara passages have been used throughout that the passage can end on a jantai swara
  5. shoul be sung in Chauka Kalam, then Madhyama Kalam, then Dhuritha Kalam
