What where the percentage deals ?

A

An agreement made by Stalin and Churchill accepting the influence of each other ( Stalin thought Churchill was accepting communism)
- some countries would have more soviet influence such as Romania but countries like Greece would have more British influence

A

1946, Long telegram
- US embassy in Moscow George Kennan as US deputy chief of missions
- wrote of how the soviets should be viewed that the Soviets where rivals and not partners

Why, when and what was the Novikov Telegrams ?

A

In response to the Longtelegram
Novikov telegram, 1946
- retaliation to the long-telegram
- Nikolai Novikov the soviet ambassador to the US wrote to Stalin
- it hardened Stalins views and worsened relations between the superpowers
