What is the method for the light microscopy practical? (6 parts)

1. Prepare food/ plant sample (usually small slice of onion) and place it on a slide
2. Add indicator sample to the slide (iodine/ methylene blue).
   3.slowly lower cover slide with forceps and place on stand.
   4.start on a lowered power so that over magnification doesn’t occur then adjust accordingly.
   5.adjust the course adjuster to gain focus on the sample.
3. Measure the actual size which is image size / magnification

How is the magnification adjusted throughout the microscopy practical?

Start with smallest magnification with lens, then move the objective lens until it nearly touches the slide- watch from side so slide isn’t slashed-. Move the objective lens away from slide to focus and zoom
