Healing Response To Treatment Flashcards

1
Q

Q

1-2 weeks continued

A

Pocket epithelium starts to change into junctional epithelium
After 5 days- Reattachment of the epithelium starts This is complete after 14 days but only under conditions of good plaque control
New gingival sulcus formed is formed
This may be at a different level and will result in the appearance of gingival recession as reversal of inflammatory response

Q

3-6 weeks
