Q

How do I navigate these flashcards?

A
  • Essentially, these flashcards have 6 A01 points and 9/10 A03 points each.
  • They focus specifically on AQA topics.
  • It has every topic from Paper 1,2 & 3.
  • It also has locked papers 2023 and model answers for these Qs, by the time this is accessed it will probably be accessible.
  • These flashcards I made can aid your revision.
  • However, do not rely on these solely, as you will need to also answer exam Qs to see if you can apply your knowledge in the actual exam.

Q

So many A03s… I keep forgetting them.

A

No problem, not everyone has amazing memory.

I recommend you read these flashcards for a little bit everyday if you have time.

If not, remember general EV points.

Q

To be honest, you can make up A03 points on the spot. if you understand what you are learning.

Literally semantic (understanding) coding –> better able to remember something –> goes into LTM (you learn this in Memory).

If you can explain the strengths and limitations of the study used applied to the research study and question (learnt in research methods) you could cop a few nice A03s, so be sure to revise Research Methods.

Moreover, revising Issues and Debates is beneficial as these points can be used in every question fr.

What general EV points could I use, you may ask…?

A

For example:

  • You could always use real-life applications for EV…
  • Methodological issues e.g. case studies are unique and cannot be generalised…
  • Ideas from Issues and Debates such as cultural bias, gender bias…
  • Using drugs as treatments always has economic implications.
  • Comparison between approaches for EV, which is better/ is it really effective?
  • Perhaps using an interactionist approach…
  • Ethical issues (cost-benefit analysis)
  • Demand characteristics
  • Social Desirability Bias
  • Validity/Reliability, types of them & improving this
  • Inter-rater reliability esp in attachment
  • Strengths & Limitations of methodology e.g. lab experiments
  • Causation vs. Correlation
  • Social Sensitivity
  • Reductionism/Determinism (Use as Positive & Negative)
  • What could be done to improve the research?
  • Is it scientific?
  • Supporting evidence (hardest to remember)
