wanted to legalise assisted sucide - generally unsuccessful however still campaigning and netherlands, belgium, luxembourg and switzerland is legal

A

terminally ill, elderly people may feel pressured to end their lives, people may commit without being ill or elderly, religious beliefs said it was ‘god’s choice’ who gets to pass

A

diane pretty had motor neurone disease and applied to eu courts but it was unanimously rejected; 330 mp’s voted against it

what methods were used to promote the campaign?

A

blog - lengthy and needs consistent updating, posters/billboards, their official website, memberships that give you exclusive abouts meets and newsletters, mp support, public protests, pressure groups ‘dying in dignity’ organisation (25,000 in december 2010), celebrities (terry pratchett, chris broad), press coverage and personal campaigners.
