Hello, my name is Dasha, I’ve been asked to perform a cardiovascular examination today. Is that ok? Does X have any pain anywhere?
I have already washed my hands outside.
Firstly looking around the room, there is/is not any medical equipment or oxygen.
X appears well, and does /does not appear cyanotic but I will inspect more closely later on. There is no respiratory distress. X is well grown/small for his age however I would like to confirm this by plotting his height, weight and head circumference on appropriate growth charts.
I cant appreciate any non familial facial features/ I can appreciate some non familial facial features which may represent a syndromic diagnosis.
I am able to get you to lie on the bed (45 degrees) with your shirt off?
Do I have any vital signs available to me? (usually do BP manually and HR/RR as I go)
