Q

What are the steps of selective breeding

A
  1. Decide on which characteristics of species are desirable
  2. Select parent with high levels of characteristic
  3. Bread from these individuals
  4. Select offspring and breed again

Q

What are the disadvantages of selective breeding 1

A

Reduces the number of alleles of a species which reduces variation. This means that, if a new disease arises, there may not be an organism that has the allele for resistance to the disease. The species may become extinct.
