what is the myth of io and zeus

A

zeus wants to persue her but hera is watching so he conceals himself and io in a cloud. Hera looks down and seesa cloud out of place on a sunny day and is suspicous. So she appoint a watchman named argus. He has many eyes so he is very alert. zeus wants to get rid of argus so he asks hermes to do so. This is how hermes receives the famous epithet that means slayer of argus. Hermes charms argus with music and argus gradually falls asleep. Then hermes pulls out a sword and decapitates argus.

Zeus touches Io in egypt and she returns to her human form. this is how epaphus got his name it means to touch or lay a hand on.
