What is focal sampling?
In this sampling method only the behaviour of one animal or group of animals is recorded
What is behavioural sampling?
A data collection method in which the behaviours of one or more individuals are observed and recorded during a designated period of time
What is scan sampling?
This method scans a group of animals and the behaviour of each is noted.
What is a Darwin’s theory of behaviour?
Since the beginning of his speculations on the origin of species, Darwin assumed that instincts are subjected to evolution. Before conceiving the principle of natural selection, he suggested an early mechanism for the modification of species in which instinctive behaviour was the main cause.
What is Jean-Baptise Lamark’s theory?
Lamark’s theory was with giraffes and it was born with a short neck and as it kept using it to reach leaves the neck grew and then these desirable traits was passed to offspring.
