Catching cold or consuming cold food/beverages
What are general signs/symptoms of external cold?
aversion to cold, slow and/or tight pulse, pale complexion, pale tongue w/ glossy white fur, copious clear urine, sharp/fixed pain
How is external dryness contracted?
Dry weather in a dry region or during autumn
What are signs/symptoms of external dryness?
Dry throat, dry mouth, dry skin, dry nails & hair, scanty urine, constipation
What is the nature of dryness?
lack of moisture - yang
What is the nature of fire?
Hot, drying, damages fluids - yang
How is external fire contracted?
Warm heat pathogens or by wind, cold, dampness, dryness pathogens transforming into fire
What are signs/symptoms of external fire?
thirst for cold liquids, irritability, red eyes, rapid pulse, sore throat, cough (dry LU),
How is summerheat contracted?
During late summer type weather
