What is Apoplastic movement?
Movement of water and solutes through the cell walls and the intercellular spaces
What is an aquaporin?
A small pore forming integral membrane proteins which facilitate the transport of small molecules such as water and gases

What is the casparian strip?
It is located in the endodermis of roots and controls movement of water and solutes into the conducting tissues in the root by forming a diffusion barrier
