hire purchase-ppl coukd ‘buy now pay later’ so made easier

what was bad about the 1920s?

A

many black americans were salves until 1865.by 1920s were free but still faced racism and were paid poorly

sharecroppers grew crops on white land and had to share their crops with the landowner to earn money

recent immigrants faced discrimination with worst housing and low paid jobs

workers in old industries like coal miners were replaced with machines so lower wages and higher unemployment

farmers bought machinery so were producing more food than needed so prices fell and some farmers went out of business
