What is NVOA?

A

Nonverbal Oral Apraxia - Problems with volitional movements while they can do them involentarily. (common with AOS) **ALWAYS ASSESS for this!!!

A

processing skills are normal with AOS but DAF can cause more severe breakdowns with AOS and BROCAS than in normal speakers

A

Neurologic speech disorder that reflects an impaired capacity to plan or program sesorimotor commands necessary for directing movements that result in phonetically and prosodically normal speech. It can occur if there is phycial damage – or without aphasia
