MEERA: I really enjoyed it. The training scheme was good.
: Good. I liked dealing with customers. That’s one of the reasons I’m interested in this job, as it’s also a customer-facing role. So I think my previous experience will help.
why did you leave your previous job?
the company had a lot of problems, so they decided to close some of their stores. This meant they made a number of people redundant, including me!

NEIL: And why did you decide to move to New Mode?
MEERA: Well, I knew about their clothes. And I’m quite interested in fashion, generally. To be honest, I thought that the job would be a way to break into the fashion industry.
That’s very different from your previous job, isn’t it?
Well, yes, but I saw the job at New Mode as a first step. Also, as I said before, I trained in accounting as part of my degree.
