A
Burning proximal to IV injection site, extravasation will cause tissue necrosis Use Big IV

Incompatibilities/Drug Interactions
A
Do NOT mix diazepam with other solutions or drugs in syringe, tubing or IV container

Adult Dosage
A
2mg increments slow IVP. No faster than 2mg/min

Special Notes
A
Valium will severely decrease RR in children if they have phenobarbitol on board
