Q

how do the mountains effect trade

A

the Po Valley lies between these mountain mranges. Italy is different from Greece because the hills and mountains of Italy are less rugged than those in Greece. so land travel and trade were easier for the early people of Italy than for Greece.

Q

Who were Romulus and Remus, and according to legend why are they important to the founding of Rome

A

They were the twin grandsons of a Latin King. The power of the king was seized by his brother and this guy worried the twins might try to defeat or kill him. He left the boys by the banks of the Tiber River to die. A wolf took them in and raised them. They eventually returned and killed their great uncle and returned the king to power and built the great city of Rome.
