What was the importance of Brown vs Topeka

A

Despite NAACP celebration Brown vs Topeka very limited impact, schools in towns and cities outside the deep south started to integrate progress was slow and did not always benefit the AA students or teachers Black pupils found it hard as they and their families faced anger and bad feeling education suffered. Some AA teachers lost their jobs and many black school use to provide a good education were closed. In some towns and cities segregation became more extreme due to white flight white people left areas with large numbers of black president lots of negative backlash in the south

Great victor for NAACP brought an increased awareness of AA civil rights and provided new legal precedent and led to many more legal cases and campaigns for desegrigation US political system supreme court willing to support AA

Many white Americans in the North saw the extreme racism that AA in the south suffered brought an increased awareness of problems AA faced
Motivated many AA to take more active role about change many AA of the same age and went to join huge protest

significance of the boycott

A

Very successful buses were integrated seating was first come first serve bus driver no longer ordered AA to make room for white passengers. Other places started to integrate public transport provided an example of a form of protest that worked showed that when a large number of AA work together the effectiveness this demonstrates and non violence
Other facilities in Montgomery remained segregated members of racist groups increased violence against AA attacking them
