How do auxins work?
A
Auxins in the shoot tips are broken down from the sunlight and are therefore move to the place where the least amount of sunlight is (other side). This means that the more shaded area has a higher concentration of auxins so it will grow from one side. This means the plant elongates towards the light.

Where does geotropism happen in plants?
A
Negative geotropism happens in the shoot tips, and positive geotropism happens in the roots.
